UI Designer Consultant
UI Designer – consultant – TS – Ft Belvoir, VA
The UI designer is responsible for planning and leading user interviews and distilling the feedback for the rest of the development team. The UI expert will develop wireframes to share with both users and the development team to illustrate the design and interactions of the system. In addition, the UI expert will provide feedback about the implementation of the design to the engineers. Ideal candidates should have experience in wireframing/prototyping, and end user interaction.
Responsibilities
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, diagrams, and sitemaps
- Design graphic user interface elements, including navigational menus, and data visualizations
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
- Strong ability to plan and lead User interviews
- Experience collaborating in an agile environment
- Comfortable working with team to prioritize stories
- Expert wireframe development with experience sharing with both users and the development team
- Provide feedback to the software engineers on the implemented design
- Rapid prototyping
Requirements
- Top Secret Clearance
- 3 years’ experience in UI design
- Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
- Knowledge of wireframe tools and/or HTML/CSS
- Familiarity with Section 508
- Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
- Experience with web development using ReactJS, nodeJS and Javascript
- Web application development using Java preferred
