Cloud Platform Engineer – consultant – TS – Ft Belvoir, VA

The Cloud Platform Engineer is responsible for the creation of continuous build/ integration infrastructure to set us for success in a Cloud migration effort. You will be working with a team of SMEs to transition a Legacy application to a Cloud platform, establishing the infrastructure for the initial migration and then for eventual growth.

Responsibilities

• implement CI/CD pipelines & train support team to manage the pipeline
• Creation, of continuous build/ integration infrastructure
• Build and maintain highly available systems using Docker and Kubernetes
• Implement an auto-scaling system for our Kubernetes nodes
• Develop and analyze capacity plans for cloud-based deployments

Requirements

• Top Secret Clearance
• Experience designing, building, and sustaining CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with modern deployment architectures (containers, service meshes, runtimes, and security)
• OIDC/SAML/OpenID auth systems for applications (e.g. Keycloak administration)
• Certified Kubernetes Administration or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer
• 12+ months of relevant experience building, sustaining, and deploying production applications in a DevSecOps environment with a CI/CD pipeline

Experience with Linux command line and Bash, and Perl
